Many trainings can be customized for the specific needs of your municipality and even delivered onsite.

First Responder Professional Development

Offered in partnership with ECC's Center for Emergency Services and Police Departments, these training opportunities meet the requirements of the respective state oversight agencies.

Participants gain the skills they need to meet all required objectives by combining classroom lectures and hands-on simulations. Training is offered on a variety of topics including, but not limited to, the following:

  • Fire Apparatus Engineer (FAE)
  • Advanced Technician Firefighter (ATF)
  • Rescue Rope Operations (RRO)
  • Vehicle and Machinery Operations (VMO)
  • Police supervisor
  • Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)

Emergency Management

Offered in partnership with ECC's award-winning Office of Emergency Management, these programs help ensure your team is equipped and prepared for emergencies.

Training is available on the following topics:

  • Incident Command Essentials (ICE)
  • Emergency operations planning
  • Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program
  • Business continuity

Leadership

Get new administrative and board leadership the training they need to be effective and impactful leaders from day one.

  • New supervisor training
  • Continuous improvement
  • Diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • Leadership for newly elected officials

Administration and Daily Operations

Help your administrative staff keep up with advances in office tools, cybersecurity and other protections, and everyday communication. Training is available on the following:

  • Microsoft Office 365
  • Adobe Suite
  • Cybersecurity and safe emailing
  • Conflict resolution
  • CPR and OSHA
