11-03-2021 COVID-19 Notification: Confirmed Case on Campus

Elgin Community College was notified on November 3, that an individual from ECC's Early Childhood Lab School Pre-K classroom has tested positive for COVID-19. According to the IDPH Guidance, all close contacts must quarantine for a minimum of 10 days therefore, the affected PreK classroom will be closing during the quarantine period.  All impacted parties will be contacted and provided with further instructions. 

Students with potential exposure have all been identified and notified. For employees, Human Resources reaches out to employees who may have been exposed within 48 hours. Additionally, ECC continues to work closely with the Kane County Health Department (KCHD) to ensure that all contact tracing procedures are being followed. In accordance with federal privacy laws, the personal information of individuals involved will remain strictly confidential.
