Purses with Purpose

Launched in 2011, Purses with Purpose is a women's giving circle that offers community members the opportunity to support other women who want to better themselves through education. Donors, guests, and scholarship recipients gather for educational and social events several times during the year.

On behalf of the Elgin Community College Foundation and students of ECC, Purses with Purpose is sincerely grateful to all individuals and organizations for their generous support over the years.

Together, we have established a $115,724+ endowed scholarship fund and awarded over $145,000 in scholarships to 105 women in 9 years.  Purses with Purpose is the largest giving circle in the ECC Foundation.
