This program assists adults as they start their college career or who are returning to college and need to update or gain new skills. A new session begins every semester. Learning takes place in small learning communities where participants are offered guidance and support. Benefits include:

  • Cohort learning environment to foster a trusting, open environment where questions and concerns are addressed and discussed. Often, adults find they face many similar hurdles when starting their college career.
  • Skills assessments to prepare for Work Keys and Compass tests
  • Health careers exploration where participants tour hospitals and meet with ECC health professions staff
  • Possible tuition assistance to pay for either a health careers program prerequisite or a developmental course
