It’s small, not like the big universities where you don’t know anyone. The teachers are very helpful, more one-on-one.

You get more than you pay for. The level of professionalism, and the attitude and passion that the teachers bring is a lot more than you expect for the price.

I would recommend ECC because the advantages of coming here compared to other schools is you’ll save a lot of money. The teachers really push you and you get a lot more one-on-one time. It’s nice.

If I didn’t come here, I would still be lost and in high school. Now I have an internship, a scholarship and I know exactly what I want to do. Not too many high school kids can say that.

I think people should go back to school and go for their true passion if they never had a chance to do so. Before, when I worked for those 33 years, I went to work because I had to. But now, I come to work because I want to.

ECC is a great place to come. I connected with the people there. With each success, I grew stronger academically. Being a part of the college's Latin American students club was a motivating experience. I felt a sense of community.

ECC allows you to grow. I can suggest ideas to my colleagues and my dean and we all take everybody’s ideas into consideration.

Member and past-president, U-46 Board of Education

Not only did ECC hire me once, they, in effect, hired me three times. I first worked part-time starting in 1990. Then I became telecourse coordinator in 1994. Since then, I completed my undergraduate and master’s degrees and now, I’m a teacher. The college’s flexible work schedules accommodated my studies and allowed me to remain active in community service. ECC has been a great place for me.

I am from Morocco and when I started taking English as a second language courses at ECC, I spoke very little English. I couldn’t even answer the phone. Thanks to the support of faculty and staff, I completed my degree at ECC. They treated me like family. So when I completed my bachelor’s and master’s degrees, I wanted to come back to ECC. I wanted to give back all that I felt I had received.

ECC helped me achieve my academic goals. I came to earn my GED and eventually left with two associate degrees. ECC faculty played a major role with their support and guidance. I felt challenged and inspired. Believe in yourself and have faith. There is a very good chance you will succeed.
