Datatel Remote Access Instructions
To access Datatel offsite, you need to familiarize yourself with the password policy, change your password to bring it into compliance, download the java environment and finally log onto the ECC Datatel server.
- Read the ECC Password Policy for Datatel Remote Access
- Agree to the policy and change your password accordingly.
If you have already completed this step for Citrix you can skip to step 3
Follow the prompts. You’ll be asked to accept the password policy. Then you’ll be given an opportunity to change your password to bring it into compliance with the policy. After this step is complete you’ll be granted access to Datatel
- Download and Install the Java run-time environment.
Your computer may already have java installed. If so continue to step 4
Download Java. Once it’s downloaded, double click to begin installing. ECC technical support cannot support your home computer, although we can offer general suggestions related to the third party software.
- Go to datatel.elgin.edu
When prompted for a password, use your Windows username and password.
When prompted to accept the server certificate, click ‘yes’.
Log on to Datatel with your Datatel username and password.
